This little cutie is an H0 sized wind-up train from Germany. It was manufactured by Fleischmann of Nürnberg and dates back to the late 1940’s or early 1950’s because it is marked “Made in US Zone Germany”. The locomotive is based upon a streamlined design that operated on the German railroads of that era. The superstructure is made of plastic, while the bottom and the clockwork mechanism are made of metal. It has applied metal handrails, along with two metal levers on the roof. Presumably, one lever is used to operate the mechanism while the other may be for speed or direction.
