Rokal manufactured several different track types during its 22 year span of production. Each type of track featured curves of both 572 mm diameter and 660 mm diameter. Each variant of track included various lengths of tangent track, along with track switches (also called turnouts) and other special track pieces.

Bakelite® Track
The earliest track type, "GB", featured a Bakelite roadbed with steel rails; it was manufactured from 1947 to 1956. This track was probably influenced by Märklin M-track design of that period, and presaged later track types such as Kato Uni-Track®.

The next track types (below) featured individual crossties and rail. The first type of this track featured tubular rail on fiber crossties, and was built from 1956 to 1960. After 1960, the track still used tubular rail, but utilized plastic crossties that were not subject to the swelling and distortion problems caused by moisture, which are common to fiber crossties.

Finally in 1967, near the end of its electric train manufacturing period, Rokal began offering a solid rail track with plastic crossties. The rail met NEM specifications (European Model Railroad Standards).
