Once the trains have been manufactured, it is time to sell them. This was especially important for Rokal, both because it was a new line of products and because Rokalís train making career came after a major war that had left Germany in ruins.  In this 1957 picture, Minister of Economics Ludwig Erhard takes a close look at Rokal; he would later become Chancellor.

Erhardís interest was genuine. Every item that was manufactured in Germany and then sold overseas meant hard currency coming into Germany for reconstruction.  Exports were important.
